How to Use the Thumbnail Text Previewer
- Upload your background image. Drag and drop a photo or screenshot into the box, or click to browse. It works with JPEG, PNG, and most common formats.
- Type your title. The text input updates the overlay instantly. Keep it under 100 characters—long titles may wrap or require a smaller font size.
- Customize the look. Choose the text position (center, bottom, top‑left, etc.), font size, color, and outline. Enable the background box for better readability against busy backgrounds.
- Download the final thumbnail. Once you're happy, click "Download Thumbnail" and get a 1280×720 image ready for YouTube.

When you upload an image, it's loaded into a canvas element within your browser. We then use JavaScript to draw the original image at full 1280×720 resolution, overlay your text with the specified font, color, outline, and background, and display a scaled‑down preview.
No data is ever transmitted to a server. The download function triggers a local save. This means your unreleased video concepts and personal photos remain completely private.
